Cookie
A cookie is a small piece of information stored on a computer in order to identify a user’s browser when interacting with a website. Device IDs are made up of available system elements, which may include IP address, user agent information (browser version, operating system type and version). Cookies or similar technologies can be used to save things such as user identifiers and preferences, and to identify and recognize users. A website may install a cookie on the browser if the browser preferences allow it. A browser allows the website to access only the cookies it has installed, and not those that have been installed by other sites.
