This seminar was created in January 2008, it meets approximately every 3 or 4 weeks. The objective of this seminar is to create collective knowledge shared by the members of EconomiX interested in the analysis of the exceptional financial crisis that we have been experiencing since the summer of 2007 and which took a truly systemic turn in September 2008. For this we organize sessions of various kinds – presentation of the state of knowledge on a particular aspect of this crisis, presentation of articles written by members of the working group, book chapters and thesis work, invitation external researchers to present their work, etc. The idea of this group is to encourage collaborations between EconomiX researchers (juniors and seniors) and to promote the production of articles and books as well as to participate in the public debate on new financial regulations. Beyond the seminars, we organize round tables on various aspects of this crisis which bring together finance professionals, regulators and academics and which are moderated by economic journalists.
Participation in this seminar is open but requires a real commitment which consists of leading at least one session during the year.
