Welcome to the EconomiX website!
This website aims to inform the public about the knowledge produced by the members of our laboratory, the activities organized by and for the researchers or wider public, and the benefits of our research for our partners and society as a whole.
The research carried out within EconomiX has a double aim: to produce theoretical knowledge and to develop applications of economic analysis to social issues. Rooted in the four units whose merger is at the origin of EconomiX, the work conducted within the laboratory covers many fields of the discipline and borrows from different schools of thought. EconomiX is thus a pluralist laboratory in several respects: the plurality of the themes covered by the research produced, the plurality of the approaches of the economy to which they are attached, and the plurality of the methods used. This openness and diversity are anchored in the collective and define the identity of the laboratory. The fact that it is a mixed unit of the CNRS adds dimension to this. Firstly, in terms of members, the laboratory comprises university staff from the University of Paris Nanterre and CNRS staff. Secondly, in terms of budget, since the unit’s resources come from financial support from the two supervisory bodies and from a large number of partnership agreements which reflect its openness to the socio-economic world. The unit’s YouTube channel is a further step in this direction.
We hope that the information presented will enable you better to understand our research unit’s purpose and missions and appreciate its functioning. This site is also an invitation to contact us if you wish to go further by participating in the events organized or undertaking joint projects with the members of EconomiX.
We wish you a pleasant visit of the EconomiX website.
