Macroeconomics and International Finance
Since November 2010, I have served as Professor of Economics at the SEGMI Faculty (Economics, Management, Mathematics, and Computer Science) at the University of Paris Nanterre. I am affiliated with the Department of Economics and the EconomiX research unit. From 2011 to 2014, I was a member of the Department’s executive board and held the position of coordinator for all Master’s programs in Economics. Between 2012 and 2014, I served as Director of the Department of Economics. Since 2011, I have overseen the Master's program in Applied Economics and directed the International Macroeconomics, Banking, and Financial Econometrics research group within EconomiX until 2019. In this capacity, I was an active member of the unit’s management board and laboratory council from 2011 to 2019. Since the beginning of the 2021 academic year, I have been serving as the Director of the Doctoral School Économie, Organisations, Société at the University Paris Nanterre, which encompasses disciplines such as economics, management sciences, sociology, demography, and contemporary history.
My teaching activities within the Department of Economics at the University Paris Nanterre cover both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, I coordinate and deliver the core lecture course Open Macroeconomics for second-year students enrolled in the Bachelor's program in Economics and Management. This course typically involves around 250 students and is complemented by eight tutorial groups. At the postgraduate level, I contribute to the first year of the Master's in Applied Economics (Économie Appliquée) through a course on Macroeconomic Modeling. In the second year of the Master Économie Internationale, Politiques Macroéconomiques et Conjoncture, I deliver advanced coursework, including Advanced International Macroeconomics and a research training module titled Modeling Macroeconomic Vulnerabilities and Risks. This latter course includes supervision and guidance for student dissertations. Furthermore, within the framework of doctoral training, I co-lead a seminar titled Preparation for the Job Market alongside Thi Kim Cuong PHAM.
