Philippe Michel passed away two years and a half ago. He instigated numerous works and discussions in environmental economics, be it alone or co-authored with junior or senior researchers. On a broader scale, he fostered an international research network thanks to early informal meetings on tradable permits that encompassed later on all types of environmental issues. These ‘Environmental Days’ gather on a regular basis researchers from the CORE, the GREQAM and the Universities of Lille 1, Paris 1, and Paris X. This conference aims at diffusing the atmosphere of these meetings and enlarging their scope.
The motive to organize such an international conference to pay tribute to Philippe Michel is twofold. First, by gathering young and confirmed researchers from different generations. Second, by focusing on a central topic of his latest work, namely the environment and its link with macrodynamic theory.
The conference Scientific Committee invites the submission of all papers in the field of environmental economics, at the microeconomic, macroeconomic or dynamic levels.
